Well, things certainly changed with Giants fans fairly quickly.
On Draft night, Giants fans across the country booed the hell out of the team selecting Daniel Jones with the 6th pick in the draft,. but that wouldn’t last long as the rookie put on a strong showing in the preseason.
Well, after 2 games with Eli Manning, the team made the decision to bench him and give the rookie the starting job coming into Week 3.
Soon after that announcement, Sales of Jones’s No. 8 jersey jumped by 500% since coach Pat Shurmur publicly passed him the baton, according to the New York Post.
More Jones jerseys were sold on Tuesday than during the prior two weeks combined, according to the Post. This makes the 22-year-old the highest-selling NFL player who has yet to start a regular-season game.
During his 3 years at Duke — Jones racked up 8,201 yards, 52 touchdowns and 29 interceptions.
