The New York Giants could be without their starting quarterback for the rest of the season as he is feared to have suffered a very serious knee injury following his return to action this Sunday.
The QB rejoined the lineup after a three-game absence caused by a neck injury, taking the field against the Las Vegas Raiders. But his return was short-lived as he would exit the first quarter after sustaining a non-contact knee injury.
As shown in the video below, Jones’ right knee buckled under him while he was running, which was always a worry as it happened without any contact. He was ruled out for the rest of the game and it’s now believed that he could be out for the remainder of the season.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the QB is suspected to have torn his ACL, though an MRI will reveal the extent of the injury.
Fingers crossed.
