Daniel Jones and Odell Beckham Jr. are one in the same…somewhat.
On Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, the Giants QB unleashed a trick play where he turned into the wide receiver and made a spectacular catch with one hand.
Check this out:
This was the Giants’ version of the Philly special (the “Jersey Special,” if you will), and while the pass from Dante Pettis was a little off, the team was still able to convert for the first down thanks to Jones’ slick hands.
Later on in the drive, these two would connect again, this time for a touchdown to increase the Giants’ lead to 12-3. The Giants offense wasn’t able to get much going up to that point in the game. I guess when nothing else is working, may as well try using your quarterback as a wide receiver.
