A scary situation unfolded for the New York Giants yesterday as several of their players were stuck in Minnesota’s Mall of America during a lockdown after a 19-year-old man was shot dead.
According to the report from the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, “many” Giants players were in the mall when it was locked down for roughly an hour. General manager Joe Shoen was also in the mall at the time. He was receiving “position by position updates from team security until they confirmed everyone was okay.”
Thankfully, no Giants players or staff were injured and everyone was accounted for.
The New York Giants take on the Minnesota Vikings today at U.S. Bank Stadium as they look to win their second game in a row and further cement their position in the NFC playoff picture.
