Jaylon Smith must miss being on a winning team.
Back in October, Smith was released by the Dallas Cowboys after the team couldn’t find a trade partner for him. Smith had 18 tackles in four games for the Cowboys when they were 3-1. He became expendable thanks to the emergence of rookie Micah Parsons.
On Sunday, Smith had a chance at revenge when his latest team, the Giants, faced off against his old team. Unfortunately, his new team could only muster up six points as the Cowboys won 21-6.
When the Cowboys lined up for their victory formation, Smith appeared to celebrate with them.
Smith was often a productive piece of the Cowboys’ defense over the past three seasons, registering 121 total tackles in 2018, 142 in 2019 and 152 in 2020. Smith’s 2019 season led to his only Pro Bowl berth.
