Odell Beckham Jr. could very well return to New York this year, but for which team?
The Giants have been busy at the receiver position this offseason, bringing back Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton and signing Parris Campbell and Jamison Crowder. It seemed that the team would be out on getting Odell Beckham Jr.
New York Giants co-owner John Mara told reporters on Monday that he was in favor of the team signing former star wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr. Mara said the team hasn’t closed the door on the idea of bringing Beckham back if general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll can ‘make it work.’
Mara’s comments come after Robert Saleh confirmed the Jets are indeed interested in signing Beckham, Mike Garafolo of NFL.com tweeted out. Aaron Rodgers is more than likely the reason for the Jets interest in the WR.
Beckham expressed interest in rejoining the Giants. The Giants currently have just over $4 million in cap space, so they would surely have to clear up a little more space if they decided to sign Beckham.
Beckham, a three-time Pro Bowler during his five years with the Giants, has remained unsigned since he suffered a knee injury during Super Bowl LVI last February.
