After the New York Giants suddenly and shockingly traded away star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to the Cleveland Browns, nobody knew what their plan going forward was anymore.
That plan is starting to take shape as the team is reportedly investigating the possibility of trading for Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen, SNY’s Ralph Vacchiano reports.
The rumor mill has been filled with reports of the Cardinals possibly pulling the plug on Rosen after one season in order to take former Oklahoma Sooners QB Kyler Murray with the 1st overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
The report goes on to state the Giants are in “wait-and-see mode” right now to see if the Cardinals will actually decide to trade Rosen and what their asking price will be.
Rosen, a former 1st-round pick of the cardinals in 2018, appeared in 14 games during the season, and completed 55.2% of his passes for 2,278 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions.
If the Giants don’t make a move, they seem rather content with having 38-year-old Eli Manning lead the team once again.
