At this point, you just have to feel for Giants fans.
On Thursday, the New York Giants general manager Dave Gettleman was reportedly under the impression that two teams would snag QB Daniel Jones before their 17th overall pick, so he made the move to take the former Duke Blue Devils quarterback with the 6th overall pick in the 2019 Draft.
If that story about two other teams actually thinking about taking Jones didn’t quite convince you, then he decided to tell another tale of a random fan at a bagel shop that gave him a vote of confidence about the pick.
Gettleman is completely disconnected with reality at this point if he thought a random bagel shop fan was going to sway anybody’s thoughts about how they feel about this insane pick of a guy that probably shouldn’t have been selected until the 3rd round or later.
I bet the plot twist this story was the random fan was probably a fan of a rival team.
