Nick Sirianni apparently does not like it when you wear Giants gear around him.
A WFAN caller alleged Thursday he almost fought with the Philadelphia Eagles head coach while playing tennis at Centennial Park in Haddonfield, New Jersey. “Peter from Maple Shade,” told show hosts Boomer Esiason and Gregg Giannotti Sirianni got upset because he was wearing a Giants cap along with a Yankees t-shirt.
Peter says he was playing on the court adjacent to Sirianni and his wife when the incident happened.
“He came up to me and said I have a problem with what you’re wearing,” the fan said, via NJ Advance Media. “I don’t really have a problem with the Yankees t-shirt, but I have a problem with the hat. I told him, ‘Listen bro, if you have a problem with it, come do something about it.’
“He said he had a problem wearing that hat on these courts, meaning Haddonfield. Then he goes to me and says, ‘Well your team sucks, and your head coach sucks.’ He said that about three times. I’m thinking this guy wants to fight. I said, ‘This isn’t sixth grade. Why don’t you just shut up?’ He kind of took a few steps towards me, and at that point, he kind of just shuts up.”
As it turned out, there was actually some truth to the story.
John Clark says that the Giants fan’s story about his interaction with Nick Sirianni is “grossly exaggerated.”

The Philadelphia Eagles have qualified for the playoffs in four of the past five years dating back to the team’s Super Bowl LII championship campaign of 2017.
A year ago, Nick Sirianni led the club to a 9-8 record after a 3-6 start in his debut as an NFL head coach. The Birds looked a bit overwhelmed in the wild-card round against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The team added some fire power in the offseason when they trade for A.J. Brown.
