When Kyle Rudolph caught a touchdown pass from Kirk Cousins in overtime to eliminate the New Orleans Saints in the Wild Card Round, Saints fans were once again left wondering how pass interference (this time offensive) wasn’t called.
Rudolph appeared to push off the Saints defensive back in order to get separation at the back of the end zone, but the refs refused to throw the flag.
Fast forward to tonight’s Super Bowl, and on a very similar play involving 49ers tight end George Kittle, the officials decided to throw the laundry.
Thanks a lot, refs. You just gave Saints fans something else to complain about for the next 5 months.
