San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle has been fined by the NFL for his crude celebration against the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday.
Kittle, who scored three touchdowns in the NFC showdown, lifted his jersey to display a T-shirt underneath that read “F Dallas” after scoring one of hs TDs. The NBC broadcast did not show the moment, but Kittle would take to Instagram to share a photo of the celebration after the game.
According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the league has handed down a fine of $13,699 for using abusive language. The punishment shouldn’t have come as a surprise to the TE, who said fans haven’t seen the last of the celebration.
“I wore a personalized T-shirt, maybe an inappropriate word. … It is what it is. It was a decision I made. [If] they want to fine me, fine me,” Kittle said.
The shirt prompted a reaction from Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons, who has vowed that things will be a lot more personal if the two sides meet again.
“Kittle’s my guy but [I’m gonna] say this: laugh now, cry later,” he said.

“We got something for that, just trust. If we see them again, just trust. And we gonna put it just like that. I ain’t gonna put too much on it. You gonna make it personal? We can make it personal, that’s cool.”
Niners wide receiver Deebo Samuels responded to Parsons with the following:
“It was already personal…42 to 10, I don’t think you wanna see us again. It might be a little bit worse.”
Kittle, who had three catches for 67 yards and recorded the first three-touchdown outing of his career, said the celebration was inspired by former 49ers linebacker Gary Plummer, who displayed a T-shirt bearing the same words in the 90s.
