It looks like the Seattle Seahawks have found their back-up to Russell Wilson. Former Jets and Giants quarterback Geno Smith will have yet another new team this season.
The 28-year-old quarterback spent one season with the Los Angeles Chargers, appearing in five games, throwing for 8 yards, 0 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions.
Smith, who was drafted in the second round by the Jets in 2013, joins Paxton Lynch as the potential backup for the franchise.
Geno’s last start came with the Giants during the 2017 season when former Giants head coach Ben McAdoo benched Eli Manning for a game against the Raiders.
Smith has not been a full-time starting quarterback since his first two seasons with the Jets.
