Following his team’s big Week 1 win over the Denver Broncos, Geno Smith told reporters that he’d been “written off but he didn’t write back,” on ESPN. It was an epic statement that quickly went viral online.
The Seattle Seahawks quarterback has reportedly filed a trademark now.
“JUST IN: Seattle Seahawks QB Geno Smith has filed to trademark “They wrote me off, I ain’t write back though.” He uttered the phrase after beating former Seahawks QB Russell Wilson and the Broncos 17-16 in Monday Night Football,” Darren Rovell reports.
After Seattle’s season-opening victory against former franchise quarterback Russell Wilson and Denver, the Seahawks were unable to keep the momentum going as they fell on Sunday to division rival San Francisco 27–7 on the road.
Smith completed 24 of 30 pass attempts for 197 yards and an interception.
