The Jets and the Broncos have beef and Garrett Wilson is adding fuel to the fire.
Broncos head coach Sean Payton reportedly has a strict set of ground rules during the preseason, which Jets receiver Garrett Wilson made sure to disrespect.
The list of regulations coach Payton has been trying to establish are as follows, according to NFL Network: No uniforms after playing, no sunglasses, no bucket hats, and no in-game interviews.
While the Jets beat the Panthers 27–0 on Saturday, reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson cleverly trolled Payton during his own in-game interview. Wilson showed up to his interview wearing a Jets bucket hat and sunglasses.
It should be noted that Wilson’s intent hasn’t been confirmed, but it certainly seems to be a response to Payton’s viral comments about Jets offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett.

It marked the latest potential twist in the ongoing Broncos-Jets saga, which started earlier in training camp when Payton called out Jets offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett.
Payton was quoted saying Hackett’s time as the Broncos head coach last season “might have been one of the worst coaching jobs in the history of the NFL,” via USA Today.
That led to Robert Saleh, Aaron Rodgers, Allen Lazard, and others defending Hackett.
