Social media continues to cast doubt over DraftKings’ claim of a certain bettor winning $489K after Christian McCaffrey punched in a touchdown for the 49ers on Monday night.
The now-famous punter, who has since been identified as Travis Dufner, needed the Niners running back to score the last TD of his 14-pick parlay to win the sum noted above. What’s more, he only risked $5.
Lots of people aren’t buying this, especially as sportsbooks are never happy to lose money. That DK has been hyped over having to fork out close to half a mil in exchange for a fiver just doesn’t seem to add up where social media is concerned.
While there is a video of Travis checking in with B/R Betting and another one of him celebrating the win, the internet thinks something is fishy and there are suspicions over the supposed winner being a paid actor.
