Sean Payton is an in-demand coach at the moment.
A few NFL franchises will be looking to make replacements in the HC position during the offseason, so it will be a period replete with movement, as well as rumors.
The Los Angeles Rams might be in the market for a new coach should Sean McVay opt to step away as is expected. The Arizona Cardinals, though, have already created their own vacancy by firing Kliff Kingsbury in the wake of their dismal 2022/23 campaign.
As such, they’ve been named as the frontrunners for Payton.
Should they show interest, it will be interesting to see how this goes, given that the New Orleans Saints still have rights to the 59-year-old and are understood to have some high demands. Any team keen on hiring Payton will have many things to consider.

The Cardinals, though, are likely seeking stability at the HC position as they’ve never had a coach survive longer than six years for as long as they’ve been in existence.
Payton seems the ideal candidate for the job but McVay leaving the Rams could make things even more interesting.
