Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker has been the talk of the NFL since he delivered a speech at a graduation ceremony at Benedictine College in Kansas last week.
The player has come under fire for taking shots at Pride Month and the transgender community, yet it’s his comments about women that have people most riled up.
“I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolic lies told to you,” Butker said. “Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.
“I can tell you that my beautiful wife Isabelle would be the first to say her life truly started when she started living her vocation as a wife and as a mother.”
A three-time Super Bowl winner who has been integral to the Chiefs’ success, Butker has attracted calls to be released by the two-time defending champions via a viral petition that has garnered hundreds of thousands of signatures.
He has endured much criticism since, but free agent wide receiver Cole Beasley has sided with him.
The former Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills wideout shared that he was “with Butker” on social media.

The Chiefs Have Also Been Supportive Of Harrison Butker
While the NFL has seemingly condemned Butker’s comments, the Chiefs have shown him support.
Owner Clark Hunt’s wife, Tavia, and his daughter Gracie endorsed Butker’s statement by drawing on their own experiences, while defensive tackle Chris Jones took to social media to let him know he was with him.
“I love you @buttkicker7! My brotha,” he wrote.
The team hasn’t officially addressed the comments, however.
