Fans are getting their two cents in following some recent, negative Ezekiel Elliott news.
The former Dallas Cowboys running back is yet to find a new team following his release earlier in the offseason. And a recent report from ESPN’s Kimberly Martin highlights why that could be.
According to Martin, general managers around the NFL think Elliot has “lost a step” and is not as effective as he used to be. Of course, his 2022 numbers suggest the RB is not playing at the insane level he was when he came into the league. But one would have thought that he would have been signed by now.
The news isn’t all that shocking to fans, and it appears there isn’t much sympathy going around for the 27-year-old.

Martin did add that Elliot isn’t in a rush to get a deal and wants to wait until he can get himself into the optimal situation as he wants to sign with a team that could contend for Super Bowls.
While Tony Pollard proved to be the more effective back in Dallas last season, Zeke led the team in rushing touchdowns and it’s thought that his best chance of getting an offer lies somewhere a short-yardage or goal-line force is required.
Ezekiel is still only 27 and RBs don’t drop off until they hit 30 or so. But his body has taken a beating over the past eight seasons and it’s now thought that there’s just way too much wear and tear.
