Longtime NFL quarterback Philip Rivers has an insane roster of children at his home. The St. Michael Catholic High football coach and wife Tiffany welcomed their 10th child last week.
The Rivers have seven daughters and now three sons.
Back in 2021, Rivers retired from the league after 17 years spent with Los Angeles Chargers and Indianapolis Colts. However, it does not look like he is truly finished playing the game.
Former Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman told TMZ Sports that the former Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers still wants to play.
“I can tell you,” Merriman said, “Phil still wants to play.”
Merriman said that 42-year-old hasn’t officially retired because he still wants to play.

“I still think Philip can play another year or two if a team gets down here in the playoffs and they need a quarterback to come off the street,” Merriman said. “Phil can do it.”
The reality of the situation is that Rivers may want to play but teams would still have to make that phone call if they actually had interest in making that happen.
It was widely reported that the 49ers were ready to add Rivers to the Super Bowl roster, if they had beaten the Eagles without Brock Purdy in the NFC Championship. He could very well be waiting for that call again in the playoffs from any team.
The eight-time Pro Bowler spent the first 16 years of his career with the Chargers before heading to Indianapolis for one final ride. Rivers retired with 63,440 passing yards—good for the sixth-most in NFL history.
