Five-time Pro Bowler Ndamukong Suh had a visit with an AFC East team this week.
The free-agent defensive tackle had no problems slotting into a team late in the season last year, joining the Eagles in November 2022. Having made it clear that he’s interested in playing for at least one more term, it appears the Miami Dolphins, his former team, are ready to hand him an opportunity.
According to ESPN’s Field Yates, the Fins brought Suh in for a visit this Wednesday. The 36-year-old played for Miami from 2015-2017, with the team signing him to what was a record-breaking deal for a defender back then.
Things have changed since Suh, a Super Bowl winner and three-time All-Pro, was plying his trade with the Dolphins and they took his $19 million-a-season salary off the payroll. He is also well past his prime. Still, he has a wealth of experience and is one of the most dependable defenders in NFL history in terms of availability as he played in 199 games and never missed one because of injury.
The 2010s All-Decade Team member is also used to playing in a 3-4 defense, having gone through stints with the Los Angeles Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, so he could be a good fit in new defensive coordinator Vic Fangio’s setup.
