Things are not starting well for Odell Beckham Jr. and his new squad.
After missing eight practices during Cleveland Browns OTAs, Odell Beckham Jr. will be starting from way behind as he will attempt to catch up next week. He certainly has not given his best impression to his new head coach.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Cleveland Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens seem to put Odell’s absence from OTA’s on blast on what he like to see from him going forward.
Asked what he wants to see of him next week in mandatory minicamp, Kitchens said, “I just want to see him.”
What did he miss?
“A lot — the offense.”
The Browns expected Beckham to attend more than one OTA.
Making things worse is that Jarvis Landry is still nursing an injury, which has forced QB Baker Mayfield to throw to nothing but back wide receivers every day.
There’s only one OTA left on Friday, and then the mandatory minicamp is June 4-6.
