The unraveling Denver Broncos are parting ways with another big-named veteran.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Broncos have released three-time Pro Bowler and defensive end Frank Clark. Schefter noted that the ex-Kansas City Chiefs’ star even gave back $1.7 million to the Broncos in order to finalize the transaction.
Clark signed with the Broncos this past offseason following a four-year run with the Chiefs. The deal carried a max value of $7.5 million. His release comes just one week Denver traded underperforming defensive lineman Randy Gregory to the San Francisco 49ers.
The 30-year-old Clark didn’t have a single sack in two games with the Broncos.
