Fox News host Laura Ingraham once went after LeBron James for speaking out about racial and political issues, infamously telling the NBA star to “shut up and dribble.” Ingraham told James and other outspoken athletes to “keep the political comments to yourselves.”
Laura did not keep that same energy with Drew Brees.
Ingraham called the criticism of Brees “stalinist.”
“He’s allowed to have his view about what kneeling and the flag means to him. He’s a person.”
“I mean, this is beyond football, though,” she said. “This is totalitarian conduct. This is Stalinist!”
In an interview with Yahoo! Wednesday, the Saints QB said he thinks kneeling during the “Star-Spangled Banner” is disrespectful to the flag. “I will never agree with anybody disrespecting the flag of the United States of America or our country,” he said.
