There’s finally some clarity on Tom Brady’s future role with FOX Sports, as well as his involvement in the Las Vegas Raiders’ ownership.
There was a holdup in Brady’s official purchase of a minority stake in the Raiders’ ownership. On top of that, many were surprised that he didn’t end up entering the “NFL on FOX” broadcast booth in year one of his post-playing career.
On Super Bowl Sunday, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported that Brady is set to begin his broadcasting career with FOX in the 2024 season, where he’ll work with play-by-play voice Kevin Burkhardt and sideline reporter Erin Andrew:
“Meanwhile, today’s Super Bowl also marks the end of Brady’s hiatus from the NFL, as he is scheduled to reemerge in the national spotlight as a broadcaster for FOX starting with 2024 season.
Sources say the plan is still for Brady to be a top analyst at FOX…
As for how that’s happening, sources say Brady is preparing the exact same way he prepared for football — with obsessive detail and a fierce and competitive desire to be the best. He’s spent countless hours doing research and studying not just the game, but the TV world.”
Regarding Brady’s Raiders’ investment, Rapoport and Pelissero reported that the seven-time Super Bowl champion “has reached the threshold to clear the NFL’s hurdles and officially join the ranks of ownership.”
Brady announced his second retirement from football on Feb. 1 of last year.
