FOX lawyers reportedly have some important decisions to make as the network gears up to air what could be the most controversial Super Bowl halftime show ever.
With the big game quickly approaching, football fans are looking forward to the Philadelphia Eagles’ rematch with the Kansas City Chiefs, but there are also many people out there who are only interested in the halftime show.
Kendrick Lamar will headline the event following his five Grammy Award wins, and his setlist has already leaked ahead of the game.
TMZ has confirmed that the rapper will “no doubt” perform the hit “Not Like Us,” which accuses rival Drake of being a pedophile. Lamar is said to be adamant over the decision despite being advised against singing the popular song.
FOX lawyers and execs now have some work to do as they will need to determine which lines they can air without being sued. Drake already filed a defamation lawsuit against Universal Music Group for promoting the song, claiming it spread a “false factual allegation.”
The suit has since been dropped, but the Canadian urged fans to seek “vigilante justice.”

Kendrick Lamar Could Be Censored
On the bright side, there are several fail safes to block anything the league deems inappropriate during the Super Bowl halftime show.
TMZ also noted that there are two censors for game days. The NFL has an official who can cut content, while FOX has a backup.
“Remember, it’s all broadcast on a five-second delay … just in case,” the outlet points out.
We imagine Drake will be keeping a close eye on the show, but he will probably have to attend in person to make sure he hears exactly what Kendrick sings since he might not get the full performance on FOX.
