FOX has reportedly responded to rumors of Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady joining their broadcast team for the Super Bowl.
The 45-year-old has made an unusually early exit from the playoffs and will be watching from home the rest of the way, following a 31-14 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in the wild-card round on Monday night.
As expected, the veteran QB’s name is popping up in all sorts of rumors pertaining to his free agency. But there is also speculation about him possibly being in the FOX broadcast booth for the Super Bowl next month.
While Brady has a contract with the network that will see him become a lead analyst for the company whenever he decides to call curtains on his career, he will not be part of the broadcast crew for the NFL’s final game.
That is according to media insider Richard Deitsch, who cites industry sources.
“Multiple industry sources say Fox Sports has no plans to use Brady in the booth for the Super Bowl. You never know with the pregame given how long that show goes. But Burkhardt/Olsen is the plan. Fox Sports declined comment on it,” Deitsch wrote on Twitter this week.

Brady will certainly have his eye on the Super Bowl, but it won’t be from a FOX booth, if Deitsch is to be believed.
