Four NFL teams have been floated as potential destinations for Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen, per Matt Verderame of Sports Illustrated.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter has reported that the WR could become a free agent as the Vikings might release him this month, with the parties set to hold talks in the coming days.
According to Verderame, Thielen would want to join a Super Bowl contender if he is let go and could possibly end up with either the Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, or the Baltimore Ravens.
Dallas, in particular, has been looking to upgrade its receiving contingent for some time now and added veteran T.Y. Hilton as a temporary solution last year. They could be in the market for a more permanent solution but money could be an issue where Thielen is concerned.
The wideout is due $19.97 million in 2023, having restructured his initial $64 million deal. He could take a pay cut that would see him earn something in the range of $7-9 million but that would still prove a challenge for the Cowboys, though it’s totally feasible.

Thielen will turn 33 in August so he isn’t expected to land a lengthy deal anywhere, yet a two-year deal wouldn’t be out of the question. There’s no denying his quality either – he would offer an immediate upgrade and a wealth of experience so he is likely to draw multiple suitors if the Vikings opt to release him.
