There are a ton of NFL teams who desperately need the services of a quarterback like Aaron Rodgers. However, longtime NFL writer Peter King wrote that four teams have no interest in getting into the Aaron Rodgers business.
Writing in his latest Football Morning In America column, King reported that neither the Texans, Colts, Raiders, or Panthers “wants to scotch-tape a veteran like 39-year-old Aaron Rodgers and probably not Derek Carr.”
All of those teams have a need at quarterback but are all picking in the NFL Draft within the top nine.
“I hear — though it might be smoke — that none of the four wants to scotch-tape a veteran like 39-year-old Aaron Rodgers and probably not Derek Carr,” King said. “So the Bears, if they’re not going to use the first pick on a quarterback, could get rich quick by using quarterback desperation against these four teams.”
Rodgers emerged from his Sky Cave Darkness retreat last week but has yet to inform the Packers of what he is going to do going forward with his career. He could retire, come back and play with the Packers, or ask for a trade elsewhere.
The 39-year-old quarterback has nearly $60 million guaranteed waiting for him next season if he returns. That is a hard number to turn down.

The Raiders parted ways with Derek Carr this offseason and had hopes of getting Tom Brady, but he retired. Many thought they would love to reunite Rodgers with Davante Adams.
This leaves the Jets as the most talked-about team to come after Aaron Rodgers. They have expressed the most interest in the future hall of fame QB. Rodgers’ former offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett has already accepted a job there, so now we just wait on his decision.
