Blaise Taylor, a former college football player and NFL scout for the Tennessee Titans, is charged with the murder of his girlfriend and unborn child.
Prosecutors are seeking a life sentence in prison for Blaise Taylor.
In the meantime, he is freely roaming the streets as he has reportedly been released on $2.5 million bail. The former Tennessee Titans scout indicted on two first-degree murder charges was released from jail Friday morning.
The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office revealed that the 28-year-old, who is accused of poisoning his girlfriend, Jade Benning, and her unborn child in early 2023, was released from custody Friday morning.
Judge Steve Dozier set his bond at $2.5 million.

Taylor previously worked for the Tennessee Titans as a scout from 2019 to 2023.

Months of Investigating Led To The Arrest of Former Tennessee Titans Scout Blaise Taylor
Blaise Taylor’s murder indictment was the result of months of investigation by homicide detectives and, scientists from the crime lab, and doctors, according to police.
A medical examiner testified Benning had so much cocaine in her system that she couldn’t have died from recreational use.
The former Tennessee Titans’ girlfriend, Jade Benning, died at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville on March 6, 2023, which was her 25th birthday. She was taken to the hospital in an ambulance on February 25, 2023 after Taylor reportedly called 911 and claimed that Benning was suffering from an apparent allergic reaction, via WSMV.com.
Her condition only got worse for her and her 5-month-old fetus, whom Taylor is believed to have fathered. Detectives were unable to interview Benning before she passed away.
Until Friday, Blaise had remained behind bars since his arrest on March 26.
