Flacco’s status as an elite signal-caller is trending in a great direction as his play on the field has gotten the Cleveland Browns into the postseason.
Joe Flacco threw for 309 yards and three scores, sparking a win over the New York Jets and clinching a playoff berth for the Cleveland Browns, the franchise’s first since 2020.
The veteran quarterback completed 19 of 29 passes in the 37-20 victory on Thursday in Cleveland to further cement himself in legendary status in such a short amount of time. Flacco, who signed with the Browns in November, has thrown for at least 250 yards and two scores in each of his five starts with the team. He eclipsed 300 yards in each of his last four games.
Do you know who else loves Flacco? Donald Trump.
The former President had nothing but glowing words to say about him back in 2015:
“I think Joe Flacco is, actually, a very elite quarterback,” Trump said. “He won a Super Bowl, he did it really, to a certain extent, with that great arm of his. I would say absolutely. He is an elite quarterback.”

Here is how fans reacted:
Back in 2015 when he made those comments, Flacco was still playing with the Baltimore Ravens. The signal-caller missed the final six games of the 2015 season after sustaining a torn ACL that year.
Flacco finished the season with 2,791 passing yards, 14 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. The following offseason, the Ravens reached a three-year contract extension with him.
Who knew he would come back and possibly be a reason why the team might not advance in the playoffs.
