Former player and current radio host Rich Ohrnberger sent out a since-deleted tweet that had social media going nuts.
The tweet got Patrick Mahomes to refute the reprt indicating he has asked his fiancée and brother to avoid attending Kansas City Chiefs games next season because they’re hurting his image. Mahomes refuted claims of a “sit down” with fiancée Brittany Matthews and brother Jackson Mahomes, saying “Y’all just be making stuff up these days” with several laughing emojis.
Rich Ohrnberger has since apologized for sending out the false information.
“I can’t substantiate the information that I tweeted out earlier today regarding Patrick Mahomes and his family,” Ohrnberger said, via Chron.com. “The source I received this information from was posing as someone I trust. I will delete this tweet later today along with the original thread. Please pass this along.”

During the 2021 season, a water bottle incident involving Mahomes’ brother, Jackson, went viral.
“Obviously, it’s something we don’t want to necessarily do,” he told KSHB-TV. “There were things that were said to him and [Patrick’s fiance Brittany Matthews] that you don’t see on the clip. He’s been good at trying not to respond to that stuff. He takes a lot and he’s usually pretty good at it, and he’ll learn from it and try to stay away from those people as best he can.”
