Greg Jennings, a two-time Pro Bowler and a top target for Green Bay’s Super Bowl XLV title team, is enshrined in the Packers Hall of Fame. However, he doesn’t share a close relationship with Rodgers like many players for the Packers over the last decade.
He spoke on that this year:
“We don’t text, we don’t communicate like that,” Jennings told the St. Paul Pioneer Press. “We haven’t had an official sit down, like bring it all in for a hug, since I left Green Bay.”
“Our relationship now has been non-existent,” Jennings said. ”I tried to reach out to refurbish it but haven’t had any success. The acceptance from his side has just not been there.”
With his latest comments this week, that relationship will remain the same.
On First Things First on Friday, the former NFL player lit into his ex-teammate for being a selfish guy for reportedly hoping to become the highest-paid player in the NFL. ESPN’s Dianna Russini reported that “from the conversations I’ve had with a lot of people in the league, he wants to be the highest-paid player in the NFL—by a wide margin.
“So we’re talking about 50 million a year.”

Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst told reporters Wednesday that he and Rodgers agreed last summer to reevaluate his future with the franchise ahead of the 2022 campaign.
“Obviously everything around here centers around the quarterback. That’s kind of how we do things. It’s a big piece. It’s a domino that has to fall before we go down other avenues. So it’s important as we go through this and the puzzle pieces that we got to make fit. That’s the first one to go. … There’s some timing elements to things. We’ve had really good conversations with Aaron and everybody throughout the process.”
Rodgers’ future in Green Bay has been up in the air since before the 2021 season began.
