Marcellus Wiley has been accused of rape this week, with a sociologist alleging that the former NFL defensive end forced himself on her while they were students at Columbia University in 1994.
According to a lawsuit obtained by The New York Post, the FS1 analyst, who has also had a stint at ESPN, raped the victim in a freshman dorm as he ignored her objections, taking her virginity in the process.
The suit was filed in the New York Supreme Court on Tuesday.
Wiley, now 48, is said to have caused his victim severe trauma, to the point where she attempted to take her own life.
“[Wiley’s] actions were intentionally designed to cause plaintiff severe emotional distress or were taken with reckless disregard of the significant and/or substantial probability of causing plaintiff severe emotional distress,” the suit reads.
The Ivy League professor states she was friends with the former defensive end, who invited himself to where she lived under the guise of a dinner and music session. She claims to have set clear boundaries, telling him she was a virgin and was not interested in getting intimate with him.

“Ain’t nobody tryna have sex with no virgin! Don’t worry, I got you. Just coming to hang out while I eat. I don’t even have condoms on me,” he’s said to have told her.
Per the court documents, the former Pro bowler immediately ripped off her clothes and “forced her facedown onto the mattress” before he proceeded to rape her. She recalled she could barely breathe and was in fear for her life.
While she did manage to escape for a brief moment, she was pulled back and threatened before Wiley started assaulting her again.
The victim claims to have confided in a friend after the traumatic experience and reported the incident to several university administrators, though that got her nowhere as they dismissed her claims in a bid to secure his college eligibility and future in the pros.
