Former NFL running back Peyton Hillis took to Twitter to share a remarkable update on his health and condition.
In early January, Hillis had to be hospitalized after saving his two children and two adults from drowning in Pensacola, Florida. Hillis was said to be in critical condition and had to spend nearly three weeks in hospital before getting released.
In a positive update, Hillis announced that there weren’t any “worries” or “concerns” after being released from hospital, and that he should make a full recovery. Hillis also offered gratitude for the prayers and support he’s received.

The former Arkansas star played in the NFL from 2008 to 2014. He was memorably named the cover athlete for the “Madden NFL 12” video game franchise following a career year for the Cleveland Browns in which he rushed for 1,177 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Hillis also had stops with the Denver Broncos (2009 to 2010), Kansas City Chiefs (2012) and New York Giants (2013 to 2014). For his career, the Arkansas product rushed for 2,832 yards and 23 touchdowns in 81 games.

After a series of concussions, Hillis prioritized his health first and retired from football in 2015.
