Joe Burrow has been on the receiving end of many interesting comparisons over the years, especially after he took the Cincinnati Bengals to the Super Bowl.
Former NFL running back LeSean McCoy just delivered the most insane comparison we’ve heard yet. While talking to Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool on the I Am Athlete podcast, the conversation shifted to his new teammate, Kenny Pickett.
“Listen, I’ll say it like this. Joe Burrow, Kenny Pickett – I can’t see the difference. I see a guy that’s tough, and I say that because he went to Pitt,” McCoy said.
His opinion was so outlandish that it even caught Claypool off guard. However, he still had high praise for the young QB.
“He looks good. He’s mobile,” Claypool said of the first-round pick. “He’s faster than people think, so that’s going to be new for us. And I think it’s going to create plays. You see so many of [Ja’Marr Chase’s] plays and [Tee Higgins’] plays are from Joe leaving the pocket and making plays happen. And you know, we’re young, we’re versatile, we’re dynamic, so he’s going to add to that.”
In five seasons with the Panthers before entering the NFL Draft, Pickett threw for 12,303 yards with 81 touchdowns and 32 interceptions while completing 62.4 percent of his passes. Although not considered a major running threat, he also added 809 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns.
