Troy Aikman has shook up the broadcasting game when he left Fox to sign with ESPN, and now it has left a gaping hole for Fox to find someone to replace him.
Maybe another former QB can fill his spot?
According to Michael McCarthy of Front Office Sports, former Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins QB Jay Cutler is very interested in a new TV broadcasting gig.
“I would love to do it. I think it’s a fun gig. It keeps you in the game,” Cutler said on Wednesday. “If an opportunity arises, I would jump at it.”
The former Pro Bowler says color commentary is the final item on his sports-media bucket list.
“I could do everything I wanted to do. Color commentary is kind of the last bucket. If I can get that filled, it would be great,” Cutler added.
You may remember that the Cutler agreed to join Fox’s No. 2 broadcast team in 2017, but ultimately decided to return to the NFL for one more season as a player.

In the 2006 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos selected Jay Cutler with the 11th overall pick. Cutler is a former quarterback for the Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears, and Miami Dolphins. He played for 12 years in the NFL.
During is final year in the league with the Dolphins, Cutler threw for 2,666 yards and 19 touchdowns and finished the season with a 6-8 record.
