At this point, are we even shocked?
During the first half of the Wild Card game between the Chicago Bear and Philadelphia Eagles — there was a completion from Mitch Trubisky to Anthony Miller that was stripped from his hands by an Eagles defender…and then confusion took over.
Replay clearly showed that Miller had control and took multiple steps before the ball came out, but the refs blew the play dead and the only person to touch the ball after that was an official.
Instead of giving the Bears the ball right there in the red zone, it was taken back to the original line of scrimmage.
In the broadcast booth, Al Michaels asked former American football official Terry McAulay if the refs were making rules up and he basically confirmed they were.
