So much for Kliff Kingsbury becoming the next offensive coordinator of the New England Patriots.
That seemed to be the rumor floating around ever since the Arizona Cardinals fired their former head coach following another disappointing season in 2022. But now there’s a new report from Fox’s Peter Schrager that suggests we may not be seeing Kliff on an NFL sideline for a while.
According to Schrager, multiple teams have been contacting Kingsbury about their vacant offensive coordinator positions, but the 43-year-old has turned them down and bought himself a one-way ticket to Thailand to enjoy some time away.
Exactly how long Kingsbury decides to stay in Thailand is anyone’s guess, but you’d have to think he’ll be back at some point in the near future.
Kingsbury has been a highly-sought-after OC candidate, despite his struggles to get the most out of a high-powered Cardinals offense. Seeing as how he was given an extension with the Cardinals that will pay him until 2027, it’s doubtful that he’ll be in any sort of rush to return to the NFL.
As for who Kingsbury’s going to Thailand with, we can only hope it’s his girlfriend, Veronica Bielik.
