The Chicago Bears have made the first move of the legal tampering period.
Free agent running back D’Andre Swift was not on the market for very long as the Chicago Bears are signing him to a three-year, $24.5M deal, including $15.3M guaranteed.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter previously reported the Bears were “expected to make a major push” to sign the former Philadelphia Eagles running back.
Swift returned to his hometown of Philadelphia last season and rushed for a career-best 1,049 yards en route to his first Pro Bowl appearance.
He will now be in a backfield with quarterback Caleb Williams after the team presumably selects him in the NFL Draft.

The Bears have the No. 1 pick in April’s NFL Draft and over $62 million in salary cap space, which could allow them to spend heavily on free agents.
This is likely the first of many signings they are expected to make to ensure the team is much better for 2024 and many years to come.
