A former Super Bowl champion right tackle had a long message for any fan complaining about a possible penalty that was not called on the Buffalo Bills.
Kansas City Chiefs fans have found a new thing to be upset about after an offsides penalty wiped away the go-ahead touchdown in Sunday’s loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Fans believe the refs missed an offsides call on Von Miller. From some videos trending on social media, it seemed like Miller was lined up in the neutral zone.
Former Chiefs offensive lineman Mitchell Schwartz took a clip and perfectly broke it down showing Miller not only in a legal position, but also getting an excellent jump on the snap.
“Let’s talk about this play,” Schwartz said in a video shared on X. “It’s deceiving because as you can see here, the ball is not at the blue line. The ball is behind the blue line. So we’re not basing Von off of this blue line. And again, this isn’t the right angle because the current angle has him looking like he’s offsides. He’s not offsides. He’s onside currently.

“So if you actually look at it and you go super slow, what Von does is he drops down as opposed to going forward, which is his kind of trigger. So he drops down, we’re going really slow, right? He hasn’t really changed. He hasn’t gone forward at all. And right there, Creed (Humphrey) starts to snap the ball, right there. And … Von’s not offsides. He’s right over the blue line and as we’ve established, the ball is not at the blue line, the ball is behind the blue line. So no, this is not offsides.”
Once he kept getting major pushback, Schwartz decided to log off while stating the fanbase was “officially toxic on here.”
This play in question happened just a play after refs threw a flag on the Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney for lining up offsides. That penalty cost the Chiefs a touchdown and eventually the game.
Sorry, Chiefs fans. This is one of the rare times when the refs were not on your side. I know it hurts.
In the end, the Bills managed to secure a 20-17 game and improved to a 7-6 record. Next, they are scheduled to face the thriving Dallas Cowboys in their week 15 clash.
