Former Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Damon Arnette was arrested early Tuesday morning in Miami Beach, Florida, for allegedly driving on a suspended license and suspected drug possession.
Arnette was first pulled over on Monday night and issued a citation for allegedly driving with a suspended license. Just hours later, however, Arnette was reportedly back-driving the vehicle and was pulled over again.
That’s when cops found a small baggie containing a white substance believed to be cocaine in his pocket when they searched him.
Gareon Conley, Arnette’s former teammate, reacted to the news in a rofane way on Twitter.
“You pissing me off but I’m still praying for you brotha,” he said.

The Raiders selected Arnette with the No. 19 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft out of Ohio State, but he appeared in just 13 games over two seasons before getting released. He would be cut in November 2021 after a video surfaced showing Arnette holding firearms and communicating threats.
He is currently a free agent.
