Just horrible news for the NFL world.
Former Bengals cornerback Terrell Roberts was shot and killed in the San Francisco area on Wednesday, according to KPIX 5.
Roberts was said to be visiting his grandmother before someone entered her residence and shot Roberts in the backyard.
Roberts played two seasons as a defensive back for the Cincinnati Bengals in mid-2000s. He racked up one career interception and 29 tackles in 23 appearances.
His family said he had a “heart of gold” and had no known enemies.
