Not that there was any doubt, but the NFL is once again heads-and-shoulders above every other North American professional sports league in terms of popularity.
Forbes released their 2023 NFL team valuations, and Jerry Jones’ Dallas Cowboys once again claimed the top spot with a value of a value of $9 billion. The New England Patriots were a distant second at $7 billion.
That’s not all that was noteworthy: Forbes noted that all 32 NFL franchises combined for a value of $163 billion, which is almost worth as much as all of the NBA and MLB clubs. There are 30 teams in each of those leagues.
According to Forbes, the average value of an NFL Franchise is $5.11 billion. For the NBA and MLB, the number drops to $2.86 billion and $2.32 billion, respectively.
In their most recent NBA team valuations, Forbes listed the Golden State Warriors as the most valuable team at $7 billion. The New York Yankees were again valued as MLB’s most expensive franchise at $7.1 billion.
