Earlier this week, Dalvin Cook maintained his innocence during a news conference in which he addressed a lawsuit filed against him by an ex-girlfriend alleging that he abused her during an altercation at his home in 2020.
“I just want everybody to know I’m the victim in this situation and the truth and the details about the situation will come out at a further time,” Cook said.
The Minnesota Vikings running back is facing accusations by 29-year-old former girlfriend Gracelyn Trimble, a sergeant in the U.S. Army, of assault, battery and false imprisonment. Despite the claims, TMZ Sports has reported that the Inver Grove Heights P.D. is not investigating any claims against Cook, because nobody has contacted them about him.
“At this point in time,” Chiodo said, “we have not been contacted by anyone for police assistance or that would like to file a police report.”
“When anyone does contact us we will be responsive, we are only a phone call away for any citizen or visitor to Inver Grove Heights or they can come in person to our police station to file a report or ask for any police assistance.”
In the midst of having his name slandered, a video has since shown Gracelyn Trimble branding a weapon in her car and pointing it.

That video is likely to be used by Cook’s lawyer after footage also surfaced of Trimble threatening to use her gun on Cook during an argument.
Cook’s attorney, David Valentini, said in a statement Tuesday that his client was assaulted by Trimble after she broke into his residence and then later tried to extort millions of dollars from him. Trimble’s lawsuit accused Cook of giving her “a concussion, leaving a scar on my face and taking me through hell.”
The running back practiced during the team’s walk-through Wednesday and said he expects to play Sunday when the Vikings travel to Los Angeles to face the Chargers.
