Zach Wilson is thick.
New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh spoke to the media on Tuesday and talked about the physique of quarterback Zach Wilson, who has put in a lot of work in the weight room this offseason.
“You guys will see him. He’s thick,” Saleh said of Wilson.
We now have a video of this thicker version of Wilson:
Wilson spoke to reporters during OTAs and confirmed that he’s gained 13 pounds since the end of last season. He’s now up to 221 pounds heading into minicamp next month.

Saleh also discussed the excellent body language that he has seen out of the second-year quarterback.
“He looks good. He looks confident. Shoulders are back, he’s not caved in. He looks good, he’s confident, he’s smiling, he’s vocal. I’ve said it before, you can always tell the confidence level in their understanding of what they’re being asked to do by the volume of their voice, and he’s getting pretty loud.
“He’s in a good space, too. It’s just him and [Mike] LaFleur and [Rob] Calabrese, are in the room with him, so there’s less noise, but at the same time a lot of good things are happening in there.”
Last season, Wilson finished with 2,234 yards through the air, nine touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.
The team finished with a 4-13 record.
