Stefon Diggs and the Buffalo Bills entered opening night looking to make a statement. And they did just that, beating the defending Super Bowl champions in their own home, 31-10.
Josh Allen was the star of the evening, throwing for 297 yards and three touchdowns, while adding another 56 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Diggs’ performance wasn’t too shabby, either. The Bills’ top wideout was facing a tough assignment, going up against Jalen Ramsey for most of the evening. But not even the game’s top corner could stop him, as Diggs went off for 122 yards on eight receptions — including a 53-yard touchdown that put the game on ice in the fourth quarter.
That must have really gotten Diggs fired up, because he was later seen screaming obscenities at some fans in the stands who he felt weren’t giving him the credit he deserves.
Does this look like a man who’s on a mission this season or what?

Next up for the Bills is a date at home with the Tennessee Titans in week 2. The Bills will surely enter that contest as significant favorites, but they’ll also remember what happened the last two times they met Derrick Henry and company.
During last year’s meeting in October, Henry rumbled for 143 yards and three touchdowns on the ground, leading his team to a 34-31 victory. One year earlier, the Titans’ running back scored twice in a 42-16 blowout of the Bills.
In all fairness to Diggs, he faired quite well in both contests, catching 10 passes for 106 yards in 2020. And in 2021, he had nine receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown in a losing effort.
The Bills will need even more from him next week if they want to emerge victorious this time around.
