Bud Dupree was cited for misdemeanor assault stemming from an alleged altercation with an employee at a local pharmacy, the Metropolitan Nashville (Tenn.) Police Department announced Tuesday.
According to police, Dupree and his attorney met with detectives and he is scheduled to report for booking in three weeks. An alleged dispute began after a male employee started taking video with his phone of Dupree. A 20-year-old male employee of Walgreens was treated for a cut on his forehead and a 21-year-old female employee was treated for a cut to her hand, police said.
Footage has since been released of the incident.
The argument was over after the subjects left Walgreens, but then they came back with Dupree, who then grabbed a store clerk and his phone. The two proceeded to get into a physical altercation, per the citation.
Dupree is in his first season with the Titans after signing a five-year, $85 million contract in the offseason.
He has played in 10 games and his three sacks are a career-low. The Titans (11-5) play at Houston on Sunday with a chance to clinch the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
