Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley said he felt disrespect coming from the Eagles on Sunday and admitted it got under his skin as the Eagles cruised to a 33-18 win.
Mosley, a team captain, brought up two specific instances from Sunday.
“It was all over the field. I saw it,” Mosley said. “Coin toss, no hand shake. (Fletcher) Cox was laughing at Coach (Robert) Saleh when he was fighting for us, trying to get a play called. You see that stuff and you feel that stuff. And as a competitor, as a warrior, when you’re fighting with your brothers, that pisses you off. That’s been going on for a long time.”
As for Cox’s laughing at Saleh, Mosley declined to get into the specifics.
“Nah, I’d rather not,” Mosley said. “I saw something and it kind of got under my skin. But that just kind of put me in the mindset that at some point, we gotta change and go take whatever’s on the field. Whether it was him, it could have been anybody. It could have been a different team. The point is that we have to change the narrative and it’s going to take us and only us.”
Hours later, Cox took to Instagram and posted one picture that exposed Mosley’s lies.

As far as the game goes, the Eagles scored on their first seven possessions and the Jets just couldn’t keep up. They fell to 3-9 on the season.
“Obviously, that’s something that will get under a player’s skin,” Mosley said. “But like I said, at the end of the day, when you handle your business and you’re doing things right, teams don’t have time to be doing all that laughing, don’t have time to be doing all that stuff because you’re punching them in the mouth. That just has to be our mindset. Nothing is going to come easy for us, we have to go take everything. Not earn it, we gotta go take it.”
We’ll just have to await his response to what Cox posted on social media.
