Who knew Patriots fans liked to fight so much?
On Sunday Night Football, the Miami Dolphins were in town to face the Patriots for an AFC East matchup. However, a lot of violence would take place on this night in the stands.
The most notable fight ended in a death. However, an autopsy showed Patriots fan Dale Mooney suffered a “medical issue” that could have been a contributing factor in his death. The autopsy also “did not suggest traumatic injury” played a role in Mooney’s passing. There haven’t been any charges filed related to the incident as investigators gather more information on the incident.
There were at least two other brawls that were captured on camera in that same section. One showed women falling down seats as they threw punches at each other following an argument.
Another involved a bunch of men near the concourse area brawling while on the ground as others tried and break it up.
Something clearly needs to be done to cut down on the amount of fights we continue to see at different stadiums around the league.

As for the game that night, the Patriots’ offense provided few highlights in a 24-17 loss to Miami that dropped them to 0-2 for the first time since Tom Brady took over as the starting quarterback.
The last time the Patriots lost their first two games was in 2001 with Drew Bledsoe at quarterback, which was Bill Belichick’s second season in New England. Bledsoe was injured and replaced by Brady in the Week 2 loss to the Jets, but the Patriots went on to win the Super Bowl that season and in two of the next three as well.
We can confidently state this team won’t be doing the same.
