The NFL could have its first snow game of the 2023 season in the upcoming Week 8 as one of its cities is expected to be hit by a major snowstorm.
While it’s relatively early for such weather patterns as far as an NFL season is concerned, a fair amount of precipitation has been predicted, with meteorologist Chris Bianchi noting that the Denver area will experience several inches of snow.
The snowfall is likely to affect field conditions as Bianchi adds that the chance of five to 10 inches of snow is at 60 percent, while there’s a 30 percent chance of 11 to 14 inches, and a 10 percent chance of one to four inches.
All of this points to a snow debut for NFL fans.
Such weather is usually associated with the months of November and December, but Denver appears to be ahead of schedule in this regard.
The Broncos already played the Chiefs at Arrowhead this season, losing 19-8 on a day when their defense did enough for them to win. It could be even more difficult trying to beat the Chiefs at home given the predicted conditions.
